Study Together in the Library - Pomodoro technique

Would you like to work alongside fellow students in the library when doing your academic work?  If so, come along to this library Study Together session during the summer vacation. These independent study sessions provide a dedicated environment where you can focus on a piece of academic work in a shared space, improving focus and fostering a sense of togetherness and belonging.

A member of the library team will be present to facilitate the session and answer any questions.

There is no need to book, just turn up for the start of the session with the academic work you want to focus on and a drink.

What is the Pomodoro technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method of studying, developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s.

The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals. These intervals are traditionally 25 minutes in length and separated by short breaks – each interval is known as a Pomodoro.

For more information, see the Student Life article on The Pomodoro Technique.
