Academic texts build on existing knowledge and therefore include other people’s views, methodologies and findings to support and contextualise your work. It is necessary to accurately represent the author’s ideas with appropriate paraphrasing and form links between different texts with synthesis. This session will help you develop essential skills to use evidence accurately and appropriately in your writing.
