SUMMARY:Visual Literacy: how to use images in your academic work (webinar)
DESCRIPTION:In today's world\, we are constantly bombarded with visual
information through media\, advertisements\, social media\, and more. Being
visually literate helps us interpret and understand these messages more
effectively and understand how visual information can be used to enrich
academic work.\n\nIn this webinar\, you will find out how to use images in
your academic work\, including how to caption and reference images\, and
some tips and tools on where and how to find them.\n\nThe session will also
briefly cover the ethical and legal implications of using images\,
including copyright and intellectual property\, and the historical and
cultural implications of using images to communicate. \n\nThe link to join
the event will be sent in the confirmation email.\n\n\n\nAre you working
towards your Lincoln Award? By attending this session you can gain 5 points
to your Develop section. \n\nThis is a generic session designed for
multiple attendees. If you have a particular learning need you may wish to
contact the facilitator or your Learning & Teaching Librarian.
