Visual Literacy: how to use images in your academic work (face-to-face event)

In today's world, we are constantly bombarded with visual information through media, advertisements, social media, and more. Being visually literate helps us interpret and understand these messages more effectively and understand how visual information can be used to enrich academic work.

In this workshop, you will find out how to use images in your academic work, including how to caption and reference images, and some tips and tools on where and how to find them.

The session will also briefly cover the ethical and legal implications of using images, including copyright and intellectual property, and the historical and cultural implications of using images to communicate.
