SUMMARY:Learning Essentials 1: Library Support and Getting Started (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Session Outline\n\nSuccessful learning starts with knowing how
to access the right support. In this session\, you'll explore the library's
learning support services\, essential academic resources\, and digital
tools that can help you stay organised and make the most of your studies.
By understanding the support available and how to use it effectively\,
you'll be better equipped to navigate university life with confidence and
independence.\n\nWho is this session for?\nThe Learning Essentials series
is for students new to higher education (e.g. Foundation Year or Year 1) or
returning to study after a break. These beginner-friendly workshops help
you build confidence\, develop essential study skills\, and learn about
available support before moving on to more specialist guidance from the
library’s learning skills teams. You can attend all four sessions or
choose the ones that suit you. \n\nOnline session:\nThis session will be
delivered online via Microsoft Teams. You’ll receive the link to join in
the confirmation email. When the session is due to start\, click on the
link and sign in using your University student email address and password
(if you are not already logged into Teams). During the session\, you'll be
able to ask questions and take part using the chat and Q&A features\,
making it easy to engage wherever you're studying. For support with
Microsoft Teams please visit UniHelp Guides | University of Lincoln. \n\n
