Event box
Session Outline
Successful learning starts with knowing how to access the right support. In this session, you'll explore the library's learning support services, essential academic resources, and digital tools that can help you stay organised and make the most of your studies. By understanding the support available and how to use it effectively, you'll be better equipped to navigate university life with confidence and independence.
Who is this session for?
The Learning Essentials series is for students new to higher education (e.g. Foundation Year or Year 1) or returning to study after a break. These beginner-friendly workshops help you build confidence, develop essential study skills, and learn about available support before moving on to more specialist guidance from the library’s learning skills teams. You can attend all four sessions or choose the ones that suit you.
In-person Session:
This session will take place in UL110 in the main University Library. Please arrive on time. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking as soon as possible so your place can be offered to another student. The Library Customer Service team can direct you to the room, just ask at reception, or you can use the library building map at Navigate-Me to find your way.
